Message what color exactly is this smoke..

white and wispy = steam (by-product of combustion)
grey / blackish = too much fuel
light grey-blue, hangs and smells of oil = obviously oil...

but can be from so many things from my experience turbo seals is more on runoff after boost.
oil could be from head gasket, rings or valve steam seals.
it could also be from bad PCVs letting oil into the induction system and up in though the plenum.

confirm type of smoke and start wit the cheapest fix first.

I would say that it could be too much fuel due to bad ecu temp sender unit, that would also cause high idle. It would also make it run rough.

take connector off and check for corrosion, you can also do a resistance check on it when its hot and as it cools with an Ohm meter to see if its sending signals.
FSM has guide for this check.

i hope that's of help..
